Working with Vantage Patch

What size businesses do you support?
We are designed primarily for small businesses with roughly 5–25 employees that need broad technology capability without a full internal IT department. We can also scope larger or co-managed environments, including security engagements with up to 500 endpoints, when the requirements and support model are a good fit.
Do you work remotely or onsite?
Most administration, monitoring, support, SharePoint, website, and consulting work can be delivered remotely across the United States. Onsite work, travel, and location-specific requirements are quoted separately before scheduling.
Can you work with an existing IT employee or provider?
Yes. A co-managed arrangement can assign Vantage Patch a defined area such as endpoint security, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, website management, reporting, or project delivery while your internal team or another provider retains other responsibilities.
What happens after I request a quote?
We confirm your business goals, users, devices, servers, Microsoft environment, risks, support needs, and project scope. You then receive a line-item recommendation showing included services, exclusions, quantities, subscriptions, onboarding, and any optional work.

Pricing, billing & agreements

How is managed-service pricing calculated?
The public pricing formula uses an account fee plus clearly defined user, device, server, or website quantities. The account fee covers fixed planning, documentation, reporting, and account-level administration; unit fees scale with the environment being managed.
Are Microsoft licenses included in management fees?
No. Microsoft and other third-party subscriptions are itemized separately with the product, quantity, commitment, and quoted customer price. This prevents license changes from being hidden inside an unclear bundle.
Is onboarding included?
Onboarding is a separate one-time line item because discovery, documentation, agent deployment, security baselines, migration, and remediation differ by environment. Managed Security and Microsoft 365 onboarding start at $1,000; Complete Managed Technology starts at $1,500.
Do you require a long-term contract?
The standard managed-services term is 12 months. When a month-to-month option is offered, Vantage Patch service fees are 15% higher and the customer can cancel with 30 days' notice. Exact terms appear before signature.
Are there hidden fees or penalties?
No. The pricing page publishes possible hourly, late-payment, returned-payment, reactivation, month-to-month, and offboarding charges along with the event that can trigger each one. Early termination does not use a blanket percentage penalty.
Is the endpoint calculator a binding quote?
No. It accurately applies the published Managed Security account, endpoint, server, and annual-prepayment rates. A written quote still confirms supported systems, onboarding, taxes, exact counts, third-party subscriptions, and any approved exception before service begins.

Managed security & support

What counts as a managed endpoint?
Each enrolled workstation, laptop, server, or other covered endpoint counts as a managed device. Servers use the separately published server rate. Complete Managed Technology includes one primary workstation per billed user and itemizes additional devices.
Is monitoring available 24/7?
The published base packages include business-hours monitoring: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Eastern Time, excluding U.S. federal holidays. Any 24/7 monitoring, on-call response, or managed detection service must be expressly listed in the quote.
Can any provider guarantee that we will never be breached?
No. Security is a shared responsibility and no responsible provider can guarantee that an incident, vulnerability, outage, or data loss will never occur. Vantage Patch performs the controls in the agreement and helps reduce, detect, document, and respond to risk within the purchased scope.
Does your service make us compliant?
Technology controls can support compliance readiness, evidence, and risk reduction, but they do not automatically certify the business. Legal interpretation, formal certification, audits, penetration testing, and specialized regulated-industry requirements are separate unless expressly included.
What are your normal support hours?
Standard service hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Eastern Time, excluding U.S. federal holidays. Response targets, escalation, emergency coverage, and after-hours pricing are stated in the applicable agreement.
What happens if we change providers?
For accounts in good standing, standard offboarding includes up to four hours for credential and documentation transfer, available data export, and removal of Vantage Patch agents. Additional migration or transition work is quoted or billed at the published rate.

Microsoft 365

What does Microsoft 365 Management include?
The standard service covers routine tenant and identity administration, MFA and Conditional Access, Intune and device enrollment where licensed, Exchange Online, Teams and SharePoint administration, security baselines, and a monthly security review. Migrations and major projects are separate.
Can Vantage Patch supply Microsoft subscriptions?
Yes. The selected plan, user quantity, commitment, and price will appear as separate lines. Vantage Patch may receive a distributor or reseller margin, but the customer is not charged a different or undisclosed license price.
Do we need Microsoft 365 Business Premium?
Business Premium is often a strong security foundation because it combines productivity, identity, device-management, and security capabilities, but the right plan depends on your applications, device ownership, compliance needs, and existing licenses. We confirm the recommendation during discovery.

SharePoint & intranets

What SharePoint services do you provide?
Vantage Patch can assess, design, configure, migrate, secure, govern, document, train, and administer SharePoint sites and document libraries. Custom development, large migrations, advanced automation, and regulated records requirements are scoped separately.
What is the difference between SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive?
OneDrive is primarily an individual's work-file space. Teams is the collaboration interface for conversations, meetings, and team work. SharePoint provides the sites, document libraries, pages, permissions, metadata, and publishing foundation behind many Microsoft 365 collaboration experiences.
Can you migrate shared drives into SharePoint?
Yes, after assessing file volume, structure, permissions, unsupported content, duplicates, ownership, and the intended destination. We design the target structure before migration and normally pilot with a representative group before moving everything.
Can SharePoint support secure external sharing?
Yes, when tenant settings, site permissions, guest access, ownership, and review practices are configured appropriately. The approved external-sharing model is documented and should be reviewed periodically.
What is a SharePoint intranet?
It is a secure internal website within Microsoft 365 that can centralize company news, policies, onboarding, departments, employee resources, forms, links, and other frequently used information.
Will employees actually use the intranet?
Adoption improves when the first release solves visible employee problems, content owners keep information current, navigation stays simple, and leadership uses the intranet consistently. We include ownership and launch planning rather than treating adoption as an afterthought.
Who updates the intranet after launch?
Your trained content owners can manage routine publishing, Vantage Patch can provide ongoing administration, or responsibilities can be shared. The quote identifies the pages, publisher training, maintenance allowance, and ongoing support model.

Business websites & hosting

What is included in the Business Website Starter?
The starting scope includes up to five core pages, responsive custom design, SEO foundations, a contact form, an accessibility review, two revision rounds, and launch support. Hosting, copywriting, photography, paid assets, and custom integrations are separate.
What does managed website hosting include?
The standard service includes secure cloud hosting and SSL, backup and recovery points, uptime and security monitoring, performance and platform updates, and 30 minutes of content updates per month. Ecommerce and custom applications require a separate quote.
Do SEO foundations guarantee a Google ranking?
No. We can implement sound technical foundations such as page titles, descriptions, structured content, sitemap and robots configuration, performance-conscious code, and search-friendly page structure. Rankings also depend on competition, authority, content, links, location, and ongoing marketing.
Does an accessibility review guarantee legal compliance?
No. We use accessibility-aware design and development practices and can review common issues, but no automated or limited review guarantees conformance or eliminates legal risk. Formal audits and legal advice require qualified specialists.
